    ነፍስሽን በገነት ያኑረው <3

This is the famous image of "Woubit Ethiopia" as she was dubbed. This image was taken sometime in the late seventies by Ethiopia's tourist commission board. Not much is known about the woman subject of the photo.

Her name is Woubit Amensisa. Hailing from Ethiopia's Wollega region, she later moved to Addis Ababa and was a student at Etege Menen School, before finishing her studies and getting a job with Ethiopia's tourism commission. She lived in Addis Ababa with her husband, who worked at Ethiopian Airlines, and her four children. A while ago we released this picture saying that her real name was Almaz Amensisa. We'd like to apologize for the error. The truth is, the beautiful woman in the picture is really named Woubit Amensisa, while Almaz Amensisa is her sister who worked for Ethiopian Television and now resides in the USA. Unlike what is widely believed, outside of her job at the national tourism commission, Woubit was neither a model nor an actress. Her colleagues at the national tourism office managed to convince her to take up a photo shoot opportunity at a time when the national tourism commission was collecting images to serve for promotional purposes. But her image became an international sensation. According to Cuban Ethiopian historian Eduardo Byrono, Woubit never asked for compensation for the photo and only wished that the income serve Ethiopia's tourism industry.

In 2007, Woubit came to the USA to get treatment for an undisclosed illness. Sadly, in November of 2008, Woubit Ethiopia's health had declined and she passed away in the USA.

Although every Ethiopian is familiar with the class, elegance and natural beauty she exhibits in this image, she didn't get the recognition she deserved in her lifetime.

<3 Woubit Amensisa aka Woubit Ethiopia <3 , rest in eternal peace!

To enlighten your fellow Ethiopian or anyone for that matter, like and share this pic!

  • How to Spend Money Wisely

Do you hate it when you really need money, but your wallet is empty? No matter how little or how much money you have, spending it wisely is a good idea; it allows you to get the most bang for your buck. But how do you spend money wisely? People actually tend to overspend in a few specific areas; following the steps below will improve your overall pocketbook health.

Method 1 of 4: Spending Basics

1,Come up with a budget. Financial experts suggest you track your spending for a few months so that you start work on your budget knowing where your money is going. If you are bad about saving receipts for cash purchases, keep a notebook with you, to write down all cash purchases as you make them. Additionally, make a list of your monthly expenses, using your bills and the information you gather. Review this list to determine where you can reduce expenses and by how much.

    2,
    Avoid impulse buying.
Before making any purchase, ask yourself a few simple questions, and be honest with your answers. Only move on to the next question if you can answer yes to the current one. If you cannot get all the way through the questions, it is probably an impulse buy and you should pass it up.

    • Do I need it?
    • Will I use it?
    • Is this the best price I can get on it?
    • Does it add value to my life or my estate?

3,Shop around regularly for utilities and insurance.
Many service providers count on customers sticking with the services simply because it is easier than shopping for another one regularly. If it has been more than a year since you purchased your cell or home phone service, cable or satellite package, internet service, or car, home, or health insurance, shop around and make sure you are still getting the best deal.read more

  • SPEEDING UP FRONTEND DEVELOPMENT WORKFLOWS WITH SASS | Tutorial

    What is SASS?

SASS (Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets) is the web’s most popular CSS preprocessing framework. Unlike typical stylesheets, SASS files is not directly readable by web browsers (yet), but it is much developer friendly. Once a SASS file is saved it is then compiled to plain CSS so long as the compiler is installed and ran. With SASS you can use features that CSS doesn’t have yet, like variables, nesting and mixins that make building complex stylesheets easy and efficient. SASS is considered a superset of CSS (similar to how C++ is a superset of the C language) which means that any valid CSS is also valid SASS.

    Installing SASS

Technically speaking, SASS is a Ruby Gem. A Gem is a library of code that extends the Ruby language adding new functionality. Don’t worry, to use SASS you do not need to know ruby, that is simply the code that the compiler is written in. If you are a die-hard command line lover (and you have ruby installed) simply type in gem install sass. For those who don’t like to do things through the command line, you’re in luck! There are plenty of programs available across all platforms that will get the job done much more efficiently (and automatically).

    CodeKit ($28+ Mac Only)

Hands down, CodeKit is the best program available available for SASS and so much more. If the price tag scares you, don’t worry, CodeKit comes with a 10 day free trial where you can decide for yourself whether it’s worth it. Out of the box, CodeKit has support for popular front-end development tools such as SASS, Compass, Bourbon, CoffeeScript, Image Optimization (lossless compression), LiveReload and so much more. If you are developing on a Mac, this is the app for you.

    Compass.app ($10 – Mac, PC & Linux)

If you would rather something that is more cross-OS compatible, Compass.app is your next-best choice. With a little bit of setup, Compass.app can support LiveReload (through Guard-Livereload and browser extensions).

If none of these apps work for you, here are some other ones to try out:

    • Scout (Free – Windows & Mac)
    • LiveReload ($9.99 for Mac, Free for Windows but it’s an Alpha program)
    • Prepros Pro ($24 – Mac & Windows, also a free version)

    Starting Your own SASS Project

Now that you have SASS installed, its time to start coding. The first thing to do is to start the project which is done differently for each program, please refer to the programs documentation or installation instructions on how to do that. Once you have added a project, you have to decide whether to use sass or scss syntax. The main difference is scss uses css-like punctuation (curly braces, colons and semicolons), while sass syntax does not. Personally, I use scss syntax as it’s what I’m used to. You can use .sass and .scss extensions respectively for each syntax:
