Mikael Mengistu was born in Portland, Oregon. He attended his education at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and received Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He currently lives in Seattle and works at Microsoft as a Software Engineer. Mikael traveled to Ethiopia in 2016 to help his brothers & sisters learn computer science as part of the AddisCoder 2016 program, an initiative started by Dr. Jelani Nelson, a Harvard University professor who was also my previous guest. Even if he was born in the USA, Mike will tell us his desire to help his country of origin by mentoring the next generation software engineers. Enjoy!
